Denbigh is both a place and yearly event. The event is organised by the Jamaica Agricultural Society and hundreds of companies and farmers display and sell their agriculatural supplies and produce. Thousands of Jamaicans and visitors visit the event to learn more about agriculture in the country or to support small farmers with their purchases.
This year, Taynas Body Care was invited by the Ministry of Agriculture to be a part of their Agroprocessing booth. This gave us the opportunity to showcase our handcrafted natural soaps, coffee scrub, massage oils and other products that contain natural ingredients including Ginger, Turmeric, Coconut oil, Lemongrass etc. We recieved the attention of Minister of Agriculture in Jamaica, Hon. Carl Samuda along with Minister of Health, Agriculture and Human Service from Turks and Caicos Edwin A Astwood and former priemier of the Cayman Islands McKeeva Bush. Each of these Ministers recieved a handcrafted turmeric soap.
We were privileged to give a away hundreds of soap samples. We were there to promote and make money but we also believe that it is blessed to give. As we prepare to move into our third year of operation, we look for growth and the support of jamaicans at home and in the diaspora as well as the global community. We are honored to have growing interest in our online store and look forward to serving all our customers. To all our customers a yard and farin, 'Big Up'.
Thanks also for the continued mentorship and training support from Winsome Armstrong and the team at JBDC, Opal Levy and the Sisters Ink team, SRC, Ethnie Miller Simpson from Zinergy and my loving and supportive family. Blessings
